Our History

1967 - J Plumbing's founder, John ("Jack") Milne, completed his plumbing apprenticeship while working at the Toronto General Hospital, and continued on to his first licensed position as a facility plumber for the North York Board of Education.

1974 - John founded "J Plumbing" out of his family's home in Big Bay Point, Innisfil. Primarily servicing local cottages on Lake Simcoe.

1982 - J Plumbing moved to Kenneth Avenue in Painswick.

1987 - J Plumbing moved again to Anne Street, where son David began his plumbing apprenticeship.

1989 - Which would be considered the companies last "home" office location, J Plumbing moved to Templeton Avenue in Barrie.

1999 - The company was growing once again, and J Plumbing relocated to its first shop & office location on Cundles Road in Barrie. The fleet had grown to 6 trucks, and 2 office staff.

2000 - John announced his retirement, and son David began operating J Plumbing as the companies licensed Master Plumber & owner.

2003  Patterson Road in Barrie was J Plumbing's first commercial location, serving Barrie & Simcoe County with a fleet of 7 trucks and a growing office staff.

2005 to Present - J Plumbing in its present location is located at 148 John Street in Barrie, with a fleet of 8 fully stocked service trucks and 5 full time office staff.
